Grainger County EMS is a county-owned
service. It is governed by the Grainger County Ambulance Authority which is
made up of local government officials and concerned citizens.
GCEMS has a fleet of seven licensed units and operates four as 24-hr Medic units, responding to
250-300 calls per month. The service employs 14 full-time paramedics
and 11 full-time EMTs. For service phone numbers, click here. The service is proud of some recent
accomplishments for it's personnel including increases in employee pay,
the opportunity to have insurance if wanted, and the opening a new
station. Collection rates by the business office has also increased.
The GCEMS Medical Director is Dr. Mark Holland, who practices in Rutledge, Tennessee.
His office is located at the corner of Hwy. 11W and Hwy 92.
